A relaxing space where you can sit and enjoy the garden

A conservatory is a structure with more than 75% glass, usually including a glass roof.

Conservatories often seem to get a bad reputation for being too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. Ambassador conservatories are all built using high quality double-glazing units, insulated with argon gas, that are solar reflective. This keeps the heat from the room in and the mid-summer sun’s heat out.

We also build all our conservatories to meet current building regulations – even if when it's not required by law. This means you'll have good floor insulation to keep you warm and comfortable in the winter.

Our high quality specifications mean you get a beautiful room that's comfortable all year round.

Most Ambassador conservatories have self-cleaning glass, which means that the roof has to be pitched at an angle of more than 15 degrees. You'll also want to consider the height of the walls or whether you want glass to the floor. We can install under-floor heating, lighting and other fixtures and fittings if needed.

If you're thinking about adding a conservatory to your home but want to find out if it's feasible, and understand what planning permissions and regulations you need to know about, you might find our Home Extension Feasibility Report useful.
